Taipei, Taiwan, July 14, 2008- IEI Technology Corp. today announced the MMD-5201M and the MMD-4300C PACSmate™ high-resolution medical displays both received the "Taiwan Best 2008" award. The "Taiwan Best" award is the highest product accolade in Taiwan and is only awarded to innovative, high-quality products.

The GrayBoost® enabled 5.0 MP (mega pixel) MMD-5201M is the first-to-market high-resolution medical display with 12-bit display capabilities that supports normal commercial graphics cards. IEI's patented GrayBoost® technology produces grayscale images through a display controller embedded in the monitor and uses commercial dual-link DVI graphics cards to simultaneously show 4,096 grayscale tones. In contrast, traditional grayscale-display architectures require expensive medical graphics cards to display gray scale images. GrayBoost® technology implemented on the MMD-5201M therefore lowers the cost of ownership of high-resolution grayscale medical displays. Every MMD-5201M also comes with IEI's GeniSPOT® 3-in-1 calibration system as a free gift to ensure DICOM compliance and the best display quality.

The 4.0 MP 30" MMD-4300C color medical display supports a single 4.0 MP viewing mode or a dual viewing mode with the screen segmented into two 2.0 MP image sectors. Doctors can also easily adjust the gamma and color temperature settings on the MMD-4300C to ensure optimal image viewing. The software OSD control is a user-friendly Windows® interface that enables remote control of the system and excellent OSD configuration options.
